Dream - a cure for colds, say scientists
A cold? Do not rush to take drugs!
The solution may be much simpler: just a good sleep enough.
According to the research of scientists from Pittsburgh, quality and sleep duration significantly affect susceptibility to colds.
The study investigated the duration of sleep and sleep efficiency (percentage of time when a person is actually asleep when the body rests unconscious, dreams, etc.).
The trial was attended by 153 adults aged 21 to 55 years. Take into account lifestyle, weight, social status and many other factors affecting human health.
The study showed that people who slept less than seven hours a day, had about three times more likely to develop colds than those whose sleep lasted eight hours or more.
And people whose sleep efficiency indicators above - are five times less likely to develop colds than those with low sleep efficiency was observed.
Thus, scientists believe confirm the version of that sleep has a significant effect on the immune status and activity of viruses in our body.
So in the cold and flu season well enough sleep!
